Pecunia olet¶

The saying money does not stink (latin: Pecunia non olet) is so old that the principle seems to be inherent to money. But is it?

Here was a description (see history of this page) of the concept of fungibility which I wasn't aware of at the time of writing.
While I still think that fungibility shouldn't be universal, I nomore think that it makes sense trying to build a currency with fungibility limited on purpose.
With digital money at hand, I instead favor a multitude of currencies with different properties and underlying values.
